The Lewis Group of Companies has been developing property in northern Nevada since 1972. They have continuously modified their business to accommodate the economic landscape as it has changed over the years. Currently, the company has expanded their local presence in response to the tremendous business growth that the area is experiencing. Lewis Apartment Communities has launched new apartment communities in two of the most desirable submarkets- Damonte Ranch and South Meadows.
“Providing additional, quality housing in key submarkets will be vital to northern Nevada as more and more businesses choose this community to call home,” said Robert Lewis, president of the Nevada Division of the Lewis Group of Companies. “Housing in the south part of town is specifically needed in light of major companies entering the area and the near completion of the SouthEast Connector.”
Harvest at Damonte Ranch
Located at the corner of Veterans Parkway and Steamboat Parkway, Harvest at Damonte Ranch is the first rental community to break ground in Damonte Ranch. The development will total 720 luxury apartment units once complete. Phase 1 included construction of 278 units, an 8,400 square foot clubhouse, resort-style pool and spa, grow-to-grill community garden, outdoor kitchens, dog park, plaza and play area. Harvest’s 8,400 square foot clubhouse includes an entertainment patio, indoor and outdoor fireplaces, game room with large wall-mounted televisions, vast craft room for classes and activities, display kitchen, state-of-the-art business center, and leading edge fitness center with separate yoga and spin studio with instructional resources. Construction of Phase 2 will include the addition of a second 4,500 square foot clubhouse and accompanying pool, and an additional dog park.
The community represents a new product in northern Nevada. Unlike most multifamily designs, the development offers wide-open, less dense environments with just 18 dwelling units per acre, and many of the apartments have 2-car garages, which makes the Harvest offering very unique. The luxury living community offers green spaces, outdoor living areas and other amenities that promote healthy lifestyles. This new model of living offers convenience and comfort to the growing community.
“Harvest at Damonte Ranch was designed around the resident experience with the intention that families and individuals have the opportunity and desire to stay long-term,” said Lauren Wright, general manager at Harvest. “The complex deliberately mirrors the look and feel of surrounding single family homes. Whether residents relocate here for a job or simply choose not to own a home, we are offering the feel of a traditional neighborhood with the flexibility, low maintenance requirements and additional amenities available in a resort-style community.”
Latitude 39 is a boutique multi-family development located on the shore of the South Meadows Lake at 9870 Double R Boulevard. Construction and leasing on the 148-unit complex are underway and the first residents moved in March 1st.
“The South Meadows area has a great deal of demand for housing,” said Robert Lewis. “The ever-increasing number of businesses in the area plus the availability of amenities make the submarket very desirable and have created an immediate need for ground-up construction.”
Expected to be complete in the second quarter of 2018, Latitude 39 includes 9 floor plans ranging from 750 to 1380 square feet, all with a secure garage (some with direct access), up to 11 foot ceiling height, stainless steel kitchen appliances, gas cooktop, quartz countertops, abundant European style flat-panel cabinets, wood-style plank flooring, and side-by-side washer and dryer. High-speed fiber internet is available to each apartment, and electric vehicle charging capability is available in selected garages.
“Latitude 39 has a unique feel of living within a small, boutique community with fewer residents than nearby complexes, while being close to anything that could be desired or needed,” said Michaelangelo Aranda, community director at Latitude 39. “The design of the complex centers around celebrating and enjoying the lake view and surrounding environment.”
The development is within walking distance from both the Sprouts Farmers Market and Smith’s shopping centers, and offers easy access to numerous surrounding employers, restaurants and shopping. Once complete, Latitude 39 will include a year-around lakeside lounge, pool and spa area, a clubhouse with fireplace and Wi-Fi, a 24-hour gym, multiple outdoor cooking areas, direct access to the lakeside walking path, dog park, indoor dog spa, kids’ play structure, auxiliary storage areas perfect for skis, snowboards and bikes, and a tranquil lakeside meditation garden.
