Alycia Tanner was a craft show vendor for many years. She would go to shows, set-up, sell, tear down, and move on to the next one. Then she started helping host events and watching other vendors do the set-up and tear down. It was exhausting and sometimes very sad. The vendors all took a chance at each show, paying a sometimes quite hefty booth fee and sitting for two full days with little or no sales. She knew there had to be a better way and decided she needed to create a place for vendors to showcase their products daily without having to be present. So, she opened This & That Marketplace in Gardnerville, Nevada.

his & That Marketplace is a unique shopping experience, providing a wide variety of products from over 75 local small businesses all in one place. This & That offers something for everyone. From clothes, furniture and jewelry, to home decor, baby goods and art, to Teddy N Friendz for the kids, the store is continuously changing and always has something new.
This & That is 100% local, providing a retail space for those local small businesses who do not have store fronts. Both locals and visitors alike love to shop at This & That and are always surprised at how much there is to explore. Alycia and her staff love their customers and look forward to seeing each person light up as they discover a local product they haven’t seen before.
Why Nevada?
Alycia was born and raised in the Reno/Tahoe area. “This is home,” she says. “Nevada is an amazing place. We have the greatest people, communities, support, and views. Doing business here is just easy and when it is home, it is even easier.”
