Throughout their years of flying into Reno for partner meetings in Lake Tahoe, Guardian Capital has seen the region grow ripe with promise. Following the recession of 2008, Guardian began purchasing land in the area with the hopes Reno would grow and become a viable area to build in. After the major company announcements at the Tahoe Reno Industrial Center, their confidence grew in Reno’s market.
Guardian quickly realized they not only wanted to build an extraordinary development, but they also wanted to be involved in the incredible community Reno has always been. In true Nevada style, they have partnered with local businesses to bring their community to life. Including Geney-Gasiot, DC Engineering, Gradex Grading, Jensen Engineering, and Nevada Environmental Consulting, LLC.
With the influx of companies moving into the Reno area, Guardian recognized the significant need for new housing and owned the perfect property to start a new development. Guardian’s goal was to develop a flagship property, unlike anything West Reno had to offer. It had been close to 20 years since a new apartment community was built in West Reno. Guardian knew they could build a luxurious and affordable product that would help lift the area to modern standards.
Vida Luxury Living is excited to introduce 312 units on the 20-acre property with one, two and three-bedroom apartment homes in the beautiful foothills of Northwest Reno. In addition to the luxury amenities built into the units themselves, their buildings were designed around the spectacular views the property offers; maximizing sightlines of the surrounding geography.
“Vida Luxury Living provides residents with the comfort of resort-like amenities within their everyday living space,” said Senior Vice President Russell Rodriguez. “The distinguishable offerings of the property support an active, healthy lifestyle for all residents — no matter the household.”
The lavish outdoor grounds feature two levels of elevation; the upper elevation and main entrance include the pool with a year-round hot tub, beautiful outdoor kitchen and barbecues, croquet court and a putting green. The lower level has two dog parks, a playground, picnic benches with a second barbecue area and bocce ball courts.
A fully equipped gym, a yoga/fitness on demand studio and an interactive cycling experience will keep residents active when they are not hiking the many trails that surround the property. Guardian also brings a guest fitness instructor to teach monthly classes such as yoga and boot camp style workouts. Future community events include food trucks, barbecues and happy hours on a monthly basis so residents can get to know each other and build a sense of community. Near Interstate 80, the apartment homes are close to an assortment of dining and shopping experiences.
Guardian is excited to continue to grow in Nevada and, in addition to owning a substantial amount of real estate, they are in various points of development on 809 apartment units.
