On Saturday, July 10, 2021, owner of Rounds Bakery, Anton Novak, announced the company would be giving a total donation of $18,000 towards the Reno Philharmonic Orchestra in honor of Novak’s late father, a past Philharmonic musician. The announcement was made during the return of “Pops on the River,” the annual fundraising event for the Reno Philharmonic Orchestra.
Rounds Bakery catered to the evening’s event raising $9,000 for the organization that struggled through the pandemic. In addition to donating the evening’s profits, the company generously matched the funds raised with a personal contribution of another $9,000.
“The restaurant industry was one of the hardest hit during the pandemic,” said Anton Novak. “But there’s one industry that was harder hit … the performing arts.”
This donation is an extension of other Rounds Bakery partnerships and community contributions they have provided throughout the Reno-Sparks area in the past six years.
