Cheree Boteler is a native Nevadan and a graduate of the University of Nevada, Reno.
For over 20 years, she worked in the Economic Development department at NV Energy and was responsible for the content and direction of NV Energy’s Economic Development website. During her time there, she developed Nevada’s first statewide GIS based database of industrial and office buildings and land and created and managed Economic Development social media and marketing collateral.
In her final years at NV Energy she also served as the Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) Project Manager. With the assistance of local, federal and private connections, her team successfully implemented UAS (drones) into NV Energy’s operations. Read more about this project via Women and Drones.
While in this position, she found great joy in working with companies and individuals that have relocated to or are considering relocating to Nevada. Her passion is in connecting companies and individuals to resources, services and networking opportunities within Nevada.
She currently works as the Chief Marketing Officer at STEP2, a local non-profit with a mission to break the cycle of addiction in families.
She founded Opportunity Nevada as an initiative with a purpose to promote the unique collaborative spirit that Nevada brings to the table when a company is looking to relocate or expand their business and to provide another avenue for Nevada businesses and brands to tell their Nevada story and promote their services.
